Please join us in recognizing a new TUSC Director of Coaching as Blake Roth assumes the role of U13-U19 Girls Director. Blake has been a dedicated leader helping shape the future of TUSC both on and off the field for many years.
Blake has been involved with soccer in Hendersonville his entire life as an original member of the TUSC-precursor 1983 Fever Boys team. He went on to play at the collegiate club level at UT Knoxville and now continues to be a perpetual student of the game. Since 2018, he has coached across every age group within TUSC — from our Juniors program all the way through ECNL RL — while making an impact on both the boys and girls sides of the club.
His leadership and personal development has extended beyond the sidelines, serving as Academy Director, U11-U12 Assistant Director, and Assistant Club Director. He has earned a USSF C License, Coerver Youth Diploma, and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Level 1 license.
“I’m honored and excited to lead our U13–U19 Girls’ program and continue building a pathway where every player is valued, supported, and challenged,” said Blake. “Recognizing these are important years to each player’s long-term goals, our focus will be on assuring we maintain our high standards, provide appropriate challenge, and meet each player exactly where they are, to best empower each player to achieve their goals on and off the field while growing and maintaining their love of the game.”
“Having Blake take on this role was a natural and easy decision,” said TUSC Executive Director Jonathan Wayland. “He is already respected in the club for his passion and perspective on the game and approach to developing players specifically on the girls side. His organization and communication skills are unmatched. It just makes sense.”
TUSC looks forward to continuing to benefit from Blake’s leadership and willingness to serve for a long time to come.
