TUSC Has Successful Weekend at TN State Cup!

TENNESSEE UNITED SOCCER CLUB TEAMS CROWNED STATE CHAMPS

November 14, 2020 – Tennessee United Soccer Club now proudly displays two new major trophies in its growing collection of state and national prizes earned by TUSC teams. The Division 1 2005 TUSC Boys Red and Division 2 2005 TUSC Boys Blue teams each brought home the Champions Cup to Hendersonville from the 2020 Tennessee State Soccer Association’s State Cup.

In total six TUSC teams earned spots through league play to compete in the first weekend of this year’s state tournament held November 7th and 8th at Richard Siegel Park in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Five would ultimately move on to the Finals Weekend November 14th and 15th for a shot to win the title and hoist the cup.

Two-time reigning Division 1 State Champs, TUSC 2005 Boys Red were crowned Champions this year after two beautiful goals in a 2-0 shutout over Germantown Legends 05 Black. The boys’ rigorous schedule continues with USYS National League play as they travel to Las Vegas, NV and Tampa, FL in December. Troy Dusosky is the 05 Boys Red coach.

TUSC 2005 Boys Blue triumphantly Jinished their state league run as Division 2 Champions in an exciting 1-0 win over Eagle Express 2005 Boys Black. The 05 Boys Blue are coached by Robert DeWitt and will travel to Atlanta to compete in the Generation Adidas Norcross Cup in December.

Two-time reigning Division 1 State Champs, TUSC 2003 Boys Red finished as Finalists this year after a hard fought 1-2 loss to Germantown Legends 03 Black. However the team’s competitive season continues as they travel to compete in Raleigh, NC, Gulf Shores, AL, and Disney in Orlando, FL. They will wrap up with a USYS National Showcase event in Lakewood Ranch, Florida in January. The 03 Boys Red are coached by Nat Hubert.

TUSC 2004 Boys Red competed in the quarter finals match of the Division 1 group but lost to Germantown Legends 04 Black. With coach Ally Morrell the team will travel to North Carolina to play in the highly competitive Raleigh College Showcase to close out their season.

2019 Division 3 Finalists, TUSC 2005 Boys White came home with the Finalists medal after a 1-2 loss to Nashville United Soccer Academy. Bryson Lehn is the 05 Boys White coach.

The TUSC 2006 Boys Red fell to the 2006 Premier Strikers 0-1 in a close battle that was the quarter final match. 06 Boys Red are also coached by Robert DeWitt and compete in the Generation Adidas Norcross Cup in December.

Tennessee United is thrilled with the progress and results of all teams this fall as they overcame hardship and tough circumstances. Sights are now set on the spring season set to open February 2021.
